never a dull day here, with lens in hand.
Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park II
trekking further in to the park i came to a cool spot abounding with wildlife. while shooting the hawks my battery died ( trying to eke out all the energy i could get from the battery, i was forced to drop the bag, dig out and replace the new battery. i learned my lesson…don’t do this with fleeting moments & subjects ) these are the last of my shots from this first trip.
The Celery Fields.
you will find many birds here. two boardwalks, feeders, houses, the friendly and knowledgeable Audubon Society Staff to help identify the wildlife, the only hill in Fla. lol. a great spot for photographers off I75 exit 210.
The Forty Acres.
here in the LaCasa Mobil Home Park we have forty acres of undeveloped land which hosts a trove of wildlife. these are some of the birds i’ve found.
The Great Smoky Mountains.
mid March 20, the Covid closing everything but the Dairy Queen, daily overcast…my spirits were high, experiencing my first foray in to the Mountains.
Myakka River State Park III
these are the last of my present library. it’s time to return.
more from LaCasa !
where i live.
Paynes Prairie Preserve Park
up around Gainesville, Fla., off I75 there lies a beautiful, bountiful Preserve. you have to hand it to Fla. the State is committed to preserving natural lands. a boon for the photographer. here are some shots of the Preserve from my first visit.
Mud Creek Falls, N.C.
my hope here was to find a Falls i could capture with a slow shutter speed, effectively creating the illusion of silky, stilled water. the foliage was a thrill to see, me being from Fla. and all.
@ the Feeder.
i was in the Blue Ridge Mountains this one particular morning. so i added seed to the feeder and whamo ! birds ! woodpeckers, tufted titmouses, chickadees, bluebirds, cardinals. i was psyched.
